Our Mission

Buildority Times provides independent, data-driven coverage of US residential construction costs, timelines, and remodeling. We exist to bridge the gap between technical trade journals and lifestyle blogs by giving homeowners and builders practical, research-based content with real numbers they can plan around.

How We Research

Every article is researched using publicly available data and primary sources. We combine public cost databases including the NAHB cost-to-build survey, the Craftsman National Construction Estimator, and the US Census Bureau Survey of Construction, with builder interviews, owner-builder reports from active construction communities, and regional permit data from state and local building departments. All cost figures include the year they refer to, and when costs vary by region or project scope, we say so instead of presenting a single number as universal.

Updates

Construction costs, interest rates, and regulations change. We review and update our cost and timeline articles at least twice a year, and whenever a major source publishes new data. Each article shows a last-updated date so you always know how current the numbers are.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Readers can report errors through our Contact page, and we review and correct every report. When a material correction is made, we update the last-updated date on the article.

Use of AI Tools

We use AI-assisted tools for research support and drafting. All published content is directed, reviewed, and edited by our editorial team, which is responsible for its accuracy and usefulness. We do not publish unreviewed automated output.

Not Professional Advice

Our content is educational. It is not financial, legal, tax, or engineering advice. Costs and timelines vary significantly by location, project scope, and market conditions. Always consult licensed professionals (lenders, contractors, engineers, attorneys) before making decisions about your project.
